Kayla Brennan is an Associate practicing within the firm’s tort and business sections.

Kayla graduated from Arizona State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Business: Legal Studies. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2019, graduating Cum Laude.

While in law school, Kayla was an active member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and an executive board member of the Women’s Law Caucus. Kayla competed in intramural and national moot court tournaments, winning Best Petitioner Brief in the 2018 Paul A. McLennon, Sr. Honors Moot Court Competition. In her final year of law school, Kayla accepted a position as the problem writer for the 2018 Alumni Torts Moot Court Tournament, where she was responsible for researching tort law and creating a record with balanced facts from which the competitors could craft their written and oral arguments. Kayla also competed as a member of the Transactional Law Team in the 2018 LawMeets negotiation competition, where she and her team won the Boulder Regional Round and placed second in the National Final Round. Due to her achievements in written and oral advocacy, Kayla was accepted into the Order of Barristers, a nationally recognized honors organization.

Kayla has also worked as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Gregory W. Pollack at the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego. As an Extern, Kayla conducted legal research and drafted proposed rulings on various civil law matters. Kayla was admitted to the California State Bar in 2020.
